Eden Roc celebrates its anniversary with history and flavor<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

There is a view, here in Positano, that never ceases to amaze<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

And it is from that view – from a terrace suspended between sky and sea – that on 1st<\/sup> August 1970<\/strong>\u00a0our story<\/strong> began.<\/p>\n

This is how Hotel Eden Roc was born: from a dream<\/strong>, from a return, from a man who believed that hospitality was first and foremost a gesture of love<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Domenico Casola<\/strong> (for everyone, Dominic), young and visionary, returned from the United States with a clear idea: to create a place capable of welcoming with the warmth of home and the beauty of his land.<\/p>\n

That place was here<\/strong>, where he played happily as a child.<\/p>\n

That terrace today is the heart of Eden Roc.<\/p>\n

At first Dominic followed the hotel from a distance, travelling between America and Italy. Then Positano drew him back, and together with his wife Lina and sons Raffaele and Lorenzo<\/strong>, he built more than a hotel: he built a way of being.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

A recipe originated in 1971, from a letter received at the reception.
A few handwritten lines, addressed “To the Cook of Eden Roc.”<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

“I am about to arrive at your hotel, seeking quiet and inspiration. But more than anything, I’m looking for a dish that can tell me about the Coast in one bite. I love the sincere aromas: onions sizzling, bacon singing, tomatoes smelling of summer. But I also dream of a sweet ending. I don’t want anything complicated, just something real. I rely on you.”<\/em><\/p>\n

When the guest tasted, he smiled and said nothing. But the message was clear: he had found the taste of home.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That dish became Le Penne at Eden Roc<\/em><\/strong>. A guarded secret, reserved for the most special moments.<\/p>\n
